Who we are
Glossa marketplace is operated by Glossa Ltd (“Glossa”, “we”, “us”). Salon software for listed businesses is provided by getglossa.com. Bookings you make are fulfilled by the salon or studio you choose.
What we collect
- Account details — name, email, phone and password when you create an account or confirm a booking.
- Booking details — services or sunbed packages, preferred date and time, the business, and any notes you add.
- Usage data — pages viewed, search filters (area, category, date) and device/browser type, so the site works and we can fix issues.
- Cookies — see our Cookie policy.
Why we use it
- To create and manage your account, and keep you signed in.
- To send your booking or sunbed package request to the business.
- To show relevant listings and availability.
- To keep the marketplace secure and improve it.
We process this data because it is needed to provide the service you ask for (a contract), or because we have a legitimate interest in running a safe marketplace. Where the law requires consent (some cookies), we ask first.
Who we share it with
- The business you book — they receive the contact and booking details needed to honour the appointment or package.
- getglossa / Salonify — the booking system used by listed businesses.
- Providers we use to host the site and send transactional messages, only as needed to run Glossa.
We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and booking records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (for example to resolve disputes or meet legal record-keeping). You can ask us to delete your account — see Contact.
Your rights
If you are in the UK you can ask for a copy of your data, corrections, deletion, restriction or to object to certain uses. You can also complain to the ICO. To exercise rights, use the details on our Contact page.
Payments
Glossa currently lets you confirm bookings as pay in person. We do not collect card numbers on the marketplace for those bookings. If a business later takes payment on site, that is between you and them.
